创作思路：My parents brought us back to their old town in Fuzhou and it was so vastly different from the sky-high, glass-paneled, and white plastered buildings. It was hot and the road I walked on was dusty and bumpy. I wondered how people would even live in these conditions away from the comfortable air-conditioned houses and smooth asphalt road. However, the houses were decorated with red lanterns and were still kept neatly. It was

very homey. I heard the babbles of toddlers and the whirring of fans from inside the houses where families would retreat away from the hot weather. One man passed by me as if he was hurrying on his way back home. I took this picture because I wanted to capture the sentiment of the feeling of home despite the “lack” of modern comforts.
